The sweetest fruit are the harvest of hard working!
In 2012, for celebrating the 60th birthday of the Grand Hotel, all of us have brought brilliant performance with our joint efforts and under the leadership of Chairman Lee Chien-Jung. We not only made great success in operating performance, but the western kitchen and banquet kitchen also meet the HACCP standard certified by Department of Health in December.
While welcoming the 2013, I would like to share the achievements established by all the colleagues this year. The sales up to Dec 21 reache to 15.6 billions NT Dollars. A 3.6% increase compared to same time last year. This is the best performance we had ever since the Hotel withdrawn from the airport catering service. This is the best contribution made by all of the staffs to the Hotel in its 60th anniversary. We are not supposed to be complacent, for there is still much room to grow. I am confident that our efforts will push the Hotel to a new height and provide the best and innovative services to our guests.
The Grand Hotel is marching into its 61st year. Although it is old, but the accumulated culture and features developed with time has been well accepted by the guests. In return to customers’ supports, we must provide an international-level service quality which includes the hardware facilities and software. Both are indispensable. Therefore, the rooms renovation is an important change to the hotel.
Although the hotel has renovated the bathrooms on some floors, the coming renovation involves a very wide range, including guest rooms, counters, reception desk, security and related system engineering. In addition, access control management must be considered carefully. We must minimize clients’ discomfort. Furthermore, we have to consider the future development of the hotel and the overall market. Therefore, the related departments have carried out an integrated evaluation. With a thoroughly planned project, well-prepared budget and time control, we wish a comfortable space can be built up where our guests could be touched by the culture and feature of the Grand Hotel and feel at home.
In 2011, we passed the five-star hotel’s evaluation; in 2012, all of us have worked out a brilliant outcome for celebrating the Hotel’s 60th anniversary. Our capabilities have been proved by actual achievement. All the colleagues must be confident. All the preparation work has been in progress. I believe that with our concerted efforts, we will push the Grand Hotel to a new height.
